The Township of Solon, Kenty County, MI allows all camp fires and burn barrel fires without permit, assuming they are following the Township Ordinance on Burning. All yard waste fires require a Burn Permit on file prior to ignition of the fire. All burn permits require that an Annual Burn Registration be filled out and on file once year before a burn permit can be issued. All rules set forth in the Burning Rules which are an abbreviation of the Township Ordinance on Burning must be followed. Any failure to follow the aforementioned rules may result in a legal citation by the Fire Chief or their designate.
