The fire rating this morning is “high”. So for now the burn ban will be lifted. Please continue to watch here, on the web site, and FaceBook for updates. The danger rating yesterday (04/29) morning was also “high” but due to the high winds it was decided to leave the burn ban on, later in the day the rating was raised to “very high”. We have not received rain in quite awhile. The woods are very dry, if the winds pick up today there is a very good chance a ban will be back on later this afternoon.
When you are done burning please remember to make sure your fire is out, really out. Two of our biggest fires this year were started by fires that were believed to be out. One was started two days after a fire was done in a burn barrel!
